EGAO

Egao (EGG-ah-oh) is a nonprofit from the San Fernando Valley, created to bring smiles (“egao” in Japanese) back to people after natural disasters.  Our primary mission is to raise funds and awareness for the survivors of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake by introducing beautiful handmade bags that were hand-crafted from used kimonos.  These bags were made by the people of Tohoku.
